A B O U T   T H E   A R T I S T  


Creating art pieces like drawings, graphics, crafts and even handmade dolls has been Lau's natural artistic delights since her young age.  Due to her belief in the “inborn art talent” within, Lau's parents never send her to any professional art training until she took a visual art class at middle school in Hong Kong.  Not only was it her first time experiencing various designs techniques and color mediums, but it was also the first time having the “seed of art passion” being discovered.  

Although Lau did not attend any professional art schools right away, she earned a B.A. management degree while continue nurturing the “seed of art passion” by taking a minor in Art from University of California, Merced in 2010.  It was the very last semester in her undergraduate school when she took her first painting class in her life.  She then realized that art is where her talent and passion truly lie. 

With great courage and passion for art, Lau decided to attend San Francisco Academy of Art University and pursue professional art skills.  In the mean time, she had made several accomplishments in her artworks, including private collections, commissions for non-profit organization and for friends.  Lau believes time and perseverance are essential for building up professional art techniques as well as enriching strong art experience.  By gaining a firm foundation of art at the Academy of Art University, Lau anticipates to one day become an artist to be shown in galleries and museums; also, to become an art educator to nourish the next generations.
